GDE710 W4 | Studio Practice: Core Values Artifact

FROM TWENTY TO FIVE

CORE VALUES

For this week’s assignment, we were to identify twenty words that speak to our values as individuals and in our practice as designers. Here are my initial twenty words:

ADAPTABLE

ADVOCATE

BALANCE

BRAVE

CONNECTED

CURIOUS

DETERMINED

EMPATHETIC

EXPRESSIVE

CREATIVE

FORTITUDE

GIVING

HELPFUL

INSIGHTFUL

INTELLIGENT

PERSUASIVE

REFLECTIVE

RESOURCEFUL

SELF-RELIANT

SILLY

From here, we were to distill the list of twenty down to five words that best represent our self and core values and then create a vision moodboard of each. My five words are:

APPROACH

FINAL PROJECT

And here is a presentation of my final artifact experiment. I took my pennant into the world, a busy street in San Francisco’s Fillmore District to see what would happen when I offered my community Free Hugs….
